Escolinha, natacao e muito mais!/ Preschool, swimming and lots more!

Marco começou pré-escola! Que rapaz mais lindo! Ele vai três vezes por semana pela manhã e um dos dias ele almoça na escola! De acordo com a professora (Mrs. Shenk) ele está indo muito bem! Interagindo bem com as outras crianças e até come bem no lanche e no almoço! Só precisa trabalhar um pouquinho na atenção... (que surpresa... hahahaha). Ele se distrai facilmente com algo que lhe interessa... Mas temos bastante tempo pra remediar isso! Cada semana eles focam em uma letra e nas sextas feiras tem o “show and tell” onde as crianças levam alguma coisa de casa que começa com aquela letra e fala um pouco sobre o objeto. Ele já levou um avião e um barco. E em casa estamos praticando traçar as letras. A escolinha fica a meio quarteirão daqui de casa então é muito conveniente. Mas de todo jeito estou gostando muito de lá! E Marco também!

Esse mês também começou a natação do Marco e da Cecilia! Nosso gatinho já fica na piscina sem estar acompanhado por um dos pais e ele tá gostando muito! O grupo da Ceciloca tem que ter um responsável na água junto com eles. Mas ela já colocou a cabeça em baixo da água logo no primeiro dia! Nem precisa dizer que os dois adoram a água, então curtem muito as aulinhas! Alem da natação tem a contação de estória na biblioteca que também é uma atividade super bacana e que eles gostam muito!

No mais, levei Marco no pediatra pra visita regular e tudo está indo bem. 78 o percentil de altura e 66 o de peso. Está com 17.5kg e 106.7 cm de altura. Já mediram a pressão dele (88/52) que é normal e teve um teste de visão também! A visão dele está 20/30 o que também é normal para a idade. Olhem ai umas fotinhas!


 Marco started preschool! What a big boy! He goes three mornings a week and has lunch there on one of the days. According to his teacher (Mrs. Shenk) he is doing well! Interacts well with the other kids and even eats well during snack and lunch time! He has to work a little bit on his attention though… (what a surprise… hahahhahahaha). He gets easily distracted with something else that catches his attention. But we have plenty of time to work on that! Each week they focus on a letter and on Fridays they have “show and tell” in which all kids bring something from home that starts with that letter and talk a little bit about it. He has taken an airplane and a boat. At home we’re practicing tracing the letters. The school is only a half a block away from our house so it’s very convenient. But I really like it there! And so does Marco!

This month we also started swimming lessons for Marco and Cecilia! Our little man is in a group that does not have a parent in the water with them and he loves it! Cecilia’s group still requires a parent in the water. But she already went under water on her first class! No need to say they both love the water and are really enjoying the classes! Besides swimming we are still doing story time at the library which is a really cool activity they both enjoy.

Finally, took Marco to the pediatrician’s for regular follow up visit and all is well. 78 percentile of height and 66 of weight. He is 38.5 lbs and 42 inches. His blood pressure is normal (88/52) and vision was 20/30 which is also normal for his age. Check out some pictures!
